Who here has actually seen 'Stolen Honor'?
Anyone? I wonder how effective it would truly be. If it's nothing more than a glorified swift vet ad, then it wouldn't be putting anything out there than anyone hasn't heard already.

So, it's supposed to make Kerry look bad because he protested the war? So the Vietnam War is suddenly some great cause again? :eyes:

1. it's a brand new piece made in the last few months by a repub
sleeze ball ala the swifties

he claims is giving it to them to air at no charge, so i have to ask who paid the production costs?

it's not the protests, it's the POW's saying that Kerry's speech caused them to be tortured in captivity

2. Production costs were covered by Dept. of Homeland Security
Word is the filmmaker got a grant from his close friend Tom Ridge for some DHS contract, reneged on the contract, and didn't return the money.

If this can be verified and distributed to the newsmedia, it might mitigate the impact of Sinclair's politicking.

10. Whoa.
I was looking into HOW that guy got the Homeland Security bid to do the First Responders website.. then it led us to a company called Plexus Scientific, who later.. supposedly got 1.9 MILLION to do the site.. does that mean, really, that this guy stiffed Tom Ridge with our money?? Do you have links for that? I'd love to see it.. as I was chasing down that info all day.

11. You're probably ahead of the game, then
http://mediamatters.org/items/200409100003 for those who want some background on Sherwood.

IF this can be nailed down, it's game over for bush AND Sinclair.

5. I saw the free clips on their website
it was very weak, attempting in essence to blame Kerry for the entire anti-Viet Nam-war movement.

It was unlikely to change anyone's mind on the issue. It might, however, motivate the idiot RW fringe who still thinkViet Nam was a good idea.

these clips were just belabored Swift Boat ads.

6. Because, as we all know...
America was 100% for the Vietnam War until John Kerry opened his big yap. I agree with the gist of another thread here that says we should just lampoon the film mercilessly. Make it a laughingstock that nobody with in IQ in the double digits could possibly take seriously.

13. A Swift Boat Liars infomercial would be devastating to Kerry
Look at what their first ad campaign did. Kerry was up by double digits, those fuckers ran for two weeks in August, and then it was a horse race until bush took the lead after the RNC convention. Kerry's only starting to recover from it now, and this could kill the post-debate surge.

9. Also, its already been debunked by Hardball!
Chris Matthews outed them as liars on one of his shows -- you can read the transcript here: MSNBC Hardball on Sept 9, 2004: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5962170/
