Texas budget record under Bush - anyone have data/graphs?
Anyone have a graph on Texas's fiscal performance under Bush. I'm betting it follows the same basic pattern we've had in these past 4 years..might be another arrow in the quiver for Kerry to use in the next debate.

1. Exact same pattern.
I have no graphs, but Ann Richards left a surplus which whoosh promptly spent, and borrowed more.

Ann has said if she knew 'georgie' was going to win, she would have spent every cent!

2. Just use Bush's performance with the federal budget during his...
...term. Texas he screwed up really bad but nothing like what he did with the federal budget that went from a surplus of $5.7 trillion to a deficit of $2.1 billion, a turnaround of $7.8 trillion 90% of which has gone to the wealthiest people and biggest corporations in the country.

finances.

Surprise, surprise.

An idiot who has never had any fiscal disciplene whatsoever, in anything he's done, turns a surplus into a deficit in less than 4 years. A negative $8 trillion dollar turnaround.

4. Yep the previous poster is correct
his running on some wonderful record here in TX always burned me up. The books were cooked, flambeed, roasted, broiled on everything from his fiscal policy to the educational policies.

Ick. VOMIT.

I'll go look....
