Hate DU Poll threads? It could be MUCH worse.

Here's your chance to join in the dumbest exchange of ideas in the history of our nation. From the people who expressed the 2000 results in terms of square miles won by each candidate or in terms of who won white people (!) here's the latest in RW delusionalism... a call for national polls that exclude California, New York and Illinois. That would show the "true" election race rather than arbitrarily favoring Kerry by counting all the millions of people who support Kerry.
Bush, Kerry Poll without CA, NY and Illinois? Without California, New York and Illinois, RealClear Politics 1.7% spread widens to well over 5%. Since those states are already hopeless, it's useful to look at the electorate remaining without them. Bush lost those 3 states by 3.5 million votes in 2000, CA by 11.8%, Illinois by 12%, and New York by 25%. I didn't use that wide of margin though in this calculation, as I doubt he'll get blown out by 25% in NY this time round.

More Gems:

"Maybe voters in urban areas should have each of their votes multiplied by .75 before being counted."

"Outside of Los Angeles County, Bush had a popular-vote plurality of about 300,000 in the country as a whole."

1. Yeah, that's right up there with the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
I guess we should start a poll that excludes NE, WY, MT, SD, ND, ID, etc., because those "arbitrarily" favor Bush.

What a bunch of clowns.

2. This straw grasping is hilarious
I am gleefully looking forward to their meltdown when Kerry wins.

3. Let's exclude Texas and Georgia as well, shall we?
While we're at it, let's exclude any state where Kerry has less than a 50/50 shot and see how it comes out, shall we?

4. If you don't count where Kerry is ahead
Then he is much farther behind?

What if we don't count Texas, Indiana, Arizona, and North Carolina? Then Chimpy is far behind. So...... :argh:

I hate freepers soooo much, there are flames, flames, on the side of my face, heaping, heaving, flames!

5. the racist right - of course they want to exclude the metro areas.
Republicans, "There you go again", exposing your true, racist mentality. You don't view the vote of a minority American as the same of a white American.

You are scared because demographics are trending against you. Soon our electoral base will be stronger than yours. Soon we will own states like Texas and Florida, the same way we own California.

And if we were going to excluding whole sections of the country, wouldn't it make more sense to exclude the former Confederacy first --before an original, loyal state like New York ?

6. Let's exclude 50% of the voting public. The idiots that
voted for * in 2000. That would put Kerry in a favorable position.
