Nader NOT on the Ohio ballot, BUT...
My parents recieved their absentee ballots yesterday, and Ralph Nader's name IS on the actual ballot. Enclosed in the envelope was a small slip of paper informing them that a vote for Nader would NOT be counted, per Kenneth Blackwell. WTF?

How many votes will be negated thru this scheme???

3. Nader confuses me almost as much as
people who are pro-Bush!

4. That was the compromise.
For once, you can't really blame Blackwell except for dragging his feet about Nader being on the ballot until it made it more confusing for everybody -- they'd already printed the absentee ballots for most of Ohio by the time the decision was made to exclude Nader. Blackwell didn't want to do anything at all about it, he wanted to send them out 'as is' with no explanation, but enough of a stink was raised that they put the slips in to explain that Nader was no longer a candidate.

I'm mostly concerned about ballots that already have been submitted -- I figured it was the best we could expect here, that they'd enclose a slip to explain. After all, Blackwell's suffered numerous setbacks in trying to help deliver Ohio to Bush* -- not printing new ballots without Nader's name on them was only a small victory for him, since I'm guessing people who vote absentee are savvy enough to be up on the story.

I think Blackwell is intentionally confusing things.

6. Kenneth Blackwell and his schemes to keep junior in office are many!
Kenny will soon be as popular as Ms. Harris of Florida.

7. Of course it's a GOP scheme. Not as good as Nader being an actual
candidate, but this still allows for the possibility of some votes siphoned away from Kerry.

Now at the polls is CO using electronic machinery? Is Nader going to be on the machine or on whatever ballot scheme is at the actual polls?
