Surprise, surprise, Tulsa World endorses *
God, I really hate living in this state. They surprised me by endorsing Carson over Coburn, but then again, Carson isn't much different than Bush.

<snip>

"He (*) took that gamble because he believed--like everyone else--that Saddam Hussein had and would use weapons of mass destruction.

It turned out that Saddam had destroyed his WMDs after the Gulf War in 1991. But he certainly acted as though he had those weapons and his record of gassing and committing mayhem on his own people was undisputed"

In other words, so what he lied....Saddam was a bad and evil man

But, take heart fellow dems, at least 50% of the letters to the editor are for Kerry, including an eloquent one from a Korean war vet, even in this repug stronghold.

1. "He was wrong, but he has convictions." It almost sounds like a satirical
endorsement.

2. The Tulsa World is the most "liberal" in the state.
Whenever I get frustrated with the Carson campaign for running so far right, I'm slapped back into reality with news like this.

4. Yes,
and isn't that a sad commentary on the state of politics here in Oklahoma. At least we have Barry Switzer endorsing dems :puke:

7. What do you think of Dodd?
He might be the last honest man, in that he says what he means.

8. I like him a lot
Went to a campaign meeting in Tulsa during his last (unsuccessful) run for office

5. Bartcop is probably frothing at the mouth right now
Refers to his neck of the woods as "knuckledrag." What he says must be true.

I have no room to talk. My local "paper" is the Dallas Morning Whore. Wonder who they will endorse?
