Anyone ever get bad drugs from Canada?
Bad drugs from Canada? I lived in a border town for many years.

People routinely head across the border for pain relief. Go into a Canadian drugstore and the pharmacist will know you want Aspirin with codeine. Works way better than the stuff we can buy over the counter.

And I'm not even going to get into the discussions about grades of marijuana.

Suffice it to say, I had never heard anyone complain about bad drugs from Canada before.

3. that's because...
<sarcasm>
The liberal-biased media here doesn't report on the hundreds, if not thousands of deaths in Canada attributed to bad drugs (Drugs are bad, Mmm-kay... and Canadian drugs are worse than bad, apparently.).
</sarcasm>

As if bushco has the best interest of the American citizens in mind...

8. That's REALLY funny!
Here's one for you: my Bush-supporting, convervative Repub governor actually had a web site created that allows Minnesotans to order their drugs directly from Canada! As a matter of fact, the state has also entered into a "buying pool" with several others to buy in bulk prescription medication from Canadian and UK pharmacies-- even though it is "technically" agaisnt the law Dubya shoved through congress.

It's not just a Democratic issue anymore-- many Repubs are seeing what the high cost of prescription meds are doing to people. And, being smart politicians, they ALSO want to do right by their constituents.

Dubya is totally out of his tree on this one, and he and Cheney know it. They're grasping at straws trying to explain away their support for the drug companies.

12. The health system in Canada allows the government to negotiate....
...lower prices with the pharmaceutical manufactures at greatly reduced prices. Then the agents can just resell them back to Americans cheaper. It's the protective laws here in the U.S. that allow pharmaceutical companies to charge monopolistic prices.

10. Never, but I have certainly had some very harmful prescription.....
...drugs from right here in the U.S. The prescription was for a drug called "Remeron". After six weeks of use I developed severe muscle and motor deterioration which was diagnosed as Rhabdomyalysis and had to be hospitalized. As soon as the drug was stopped, the condition stabilized and then I had to receive extensive physical therapy for months after to recover. This is a very dangerous drug and anyone taking it must be monitored carefully. This happened to me four years ago and the drug is still on the market.

13. the bad drugs thing is absolute bullshit
Bush Inc has to defend itself against their blatant pandering to the drug companies somehow and that's the only thing they can think of
