1. Bush had a meltdown!
He almost went after Charlie Gibson! It was really scary! They are replaying it on PBS!

2. Kerry did well!
I think he did wonderful...Bush looked mad, sounded like he was yelling..to defend himself...

I think you should catch the rerun..definately not as amusing as the first one..but good..

5. Junior really did get out of control for a few moments
But he reeled back in, and he probably did better overall than the first one.

Kerry was even better though. More friendly, more in charge, more presidential by far. Junior looked like a pipsqueak pretender (surprise: he is!!) :D

7. Pretty much as scripted
Kerry was clear, intelligent and thoughtful.

Bush was incoherent and petulent -- to the point where he was basically yelling at everyone (including Charlie Gibson).

And in the end, the media shills called it "a draw" simply because Bush was marginally better than last time -- but still pretty bad.

Sometimes I really just want to move away.

8. Some key points
Dred Scott!

Need Some Wood?

Don't Forget Poland... Again!

Catch the rerun. It's highly entertaining.

9. Kerry kicked some major Chimpy ass...
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 12:12 AM by truebrit71
..Smirk almost lost it on several occasions..he yelled at the moderator and the questioners at times...Lt AWOl looked defensive and annoyed, and Kerry kept on hammering home again and again..he refused to let Smirky skew his record, or his campaign platform or frame the issues...

This was the performance I have been waiting for from John Kerry..he looked and sounded in control, on top of the facts and the issues and was absolutely the most Presidential person on the stage tonight.

* looked exactly as he is, a petulant fratboy annoyed that his authority or his actions were being questioned.

Kerry was brilliant..simply brilliant...

10. Anything you here on the boob tube....
believe the opposite.

Bush was high on coke, defensive, stupid, and an asshole. A perfect republican.

11. Most of the instant polls have Kerry solidly ahead.. by 30 to 60 points...
A couple of small venues had it closer but... even faux news poll has Kerry winning handley...

:kick:

12. I think Kerry did great Bush looked angry
and from now on I am not going to listen to spin afterwards. How they can say he did good is beyond me. He looked like a wildman the first half hour. Who would want that in charge?

14. Blew Shrubbie away, IMHO
Of course, we're having a little more trouble winning the 'spin war'. The pundits keep wanting to call it a tie.

Bush melted down before our very eyes. Seriously.
