1. Signs of Empire?
And a sign to the world of just how audacious Empire is.

We blow up our own buildings and a few people just so that the empire's citizens can be influenced to continue the long arm of our special laws. Then we hire, for pennies, slaves on the other side of the world to melt the steel from those buildings and turn that steel into a warship to enforce our empire.

Who, looking at this whole scenario, is not shocked and awed by this audacious example that empire has no compunction for peace only more war and more empire?

We will stop at nothing. Be afraid citizens of the world. Be afraid.

5. Oh
Was not the steel melted in China? Do you know for sure?

Anyway, the same folks who undertook this battleship building treated Louisiana as if it were a country on the other side of the world during Katrina. Eh?

We peons are all subjects of empire and we are all on the "other side of the world" when it comes right down to it. And it burns me up that some of us are ass kissing the empire.

7. Wow
Your mother actually lets you out of the house?

Do we have to tell you everything? To educate you to the real world in every facet? Or are you just acting stupid?

9. Rough translation of your response
I can't actually answer your question, because I'm just spouting BS so I will try to imply you are the one that can't grasp the concept of ass-kissing an empire.

14. Eh?
Are you against battleships now? Or do you like them and think we need more?

Lared, you know what you are and where you stand, so why not just be truthful?

Why beat around the bush?

17. We agree,
You stated I revered them. I asked how you came to that conclusion. Since you seem to be dodging that question I must assume you are simply making up stuff about me.

4. The level of imagination (or paranoia) required to turn the
simple act of recycling steel into a rant about an Empire is hard to grasp.

But I'm inspired so much I'll telling the wife that because I am responsible for taking the recycles to the curb every other Monday, it is proof positive I am Lord of all South Jersey.

The symbolism is unfortunate. Personally, I would want my recycled grave to be made into something more constructive. But that's me. I'm sure some people in here will think it's just dandy...

edited to be a bit less snarky

18. I have had several thoughts since reading this
1) Proves the claim that all wtc recycled steel was shipped overseas is false. Although we have heard that in here and elsewhere.

2) Very interesting when you start to think about the militarization of the steel...

3) And if I were family of a victim, I am not sure how I would feel...

23. Hope they got all the thermite off the steel.
Otherwise it could, you know, spontaneously collapse into it's own footprint. Or something.

It might buckle and pancake itself into Davy Jones Locker!

25. As long as it didn't come pre-wired
with nanu nanu thermite it should be okay.

My question is, did it enter the harbor at freefall speeds?
