2. Skinner did, for one.
9. As long as the "evidence" for LIHOP and MIHOP is as flimsy as this...

...then we will not permit 9/11 threads in General Discussion.

Allow me, off the top of my head, offer a perfectly rational explanation for these "melted cars 7 blocks from Ground zero".

Two 100+ story skyscrapers fell, and debris landed on these cars causing them to look melted. Some of these cars were not directly on the WTC site. They may have been a block or two away, either parked or driving down the street at the time when the towers fell. After the event, dozens or even hundreds of incapacitated cars were blocking traffic in the area around the WTC. The city wanted to get the roads downtown clear as quickly as possible, so they brought in some tow trucks to (temporarily) tow the incapacitated cars to the closest available space where they would not block (as much) traffic -- which happened to be FDR drive, about seven blocks away, and probably a bunch of other city roads in the immediate area. That's when these photos were taken. Later, when the city had a little more time, all of the incapacitated cars were towed out of the city and junked.

An example from my personal experience: Here in Washington DC, if there is a heavy snowstorm and your car is parked in a designated "snow emergency" road, the city will tow your car to the nearest available road that is not a snow emergency road. They don't tow all the cars to the designated impoundment lot twenty minutes away, because that would take much too long, and they are trying to get the road cleared as quickly as possible. A day or two later, if your car is still sitting where they left it, then they will come back and tow you to the impoundment lot, and give you an extra parking ticket for their efforts. I know, because it has happened to me.

The point being: It is perfectly reasonable that the city might tow a bunch of cars away from the immediate area of the WTC without actually taking them all the way to the junkyard.

Star Wars Beam indeed. C'mon people. You are all smarter than this.

3. He's referring to different vehicles than the ones in the links provided.

He's talking about the cars that were hit by falling debris. The OP is about the toasted cars and fire trucks such as those
seen in the links I provided.

Adios.

17. No problem, Glad to help you.
I've known a lot of people trying to make their way around when they don't understand the language, I understand how hard it can be. Back when I was doing Y2K work, we would bring in 75-100 people at a time, all right off a plane from India. Sheesh, talk about a headache. During the winter I would spend entire days bringing these guys to and from work because they could not drive and had no concept of winter so they would be trying to take a bus wearing only a short sleeve shirt and no coat (in MA!). I felt so bad for them but... they eventually learned.

15. No. Actually he is discussing exactly the same photos from exactly the same source.
And the sooner you admit that you are wrong on that the less silly you will look.

10. he's using a very broad brush to keep 9/11 topics out of GD
I can understand not having this in GD-- but some 9/11 topics are totally well-grounded and deserve wider attention.

6. You need some serious help
Dr. Wood is claiming that the toasted cars were caused by a Star Wars beam from outer space. I claim that they were casued by falling debris and fires. How is Dr. Woods explanation more reasonable than mine?

8. fires and falling debris can explain much of the damage
but some cars have very odd burn patterns indicating it wasn't a normal fire. For those I think it was EMP induced heat.

18. So basically it was selective
EMP induced heat. Since it did not radiate in a normal pattern and treat everything the same it must of had some way of selecting it's targets and avoiding others. For instance there are numerous individuals who were around ground zero who should have been hit with the emp waves, but were not, so the emp must have had some inate intelligence or cognitive abilty to avoid things that it should have in the normal course of events.

7. DEFINITELY-- EMP from nuclear devices used to take down the towers
Wood doesn't even have a coherent theory for the toasted cars.

11. Yes-- she did a good job showing a lot of evidence people hadn't seen before
but I think she went way off track with her DEW theory, IMO.
