When do the contracts end?
According to reporting by the New York Times, the Bush administration hired people as members of "Digital Outreach Teams" to blog and participate on internet forums to get the Bush administration's point of view out:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/22/washington/22bloggers.html

I assume that at least some of these Digital Outreach Teams were hired as consultants rather than full time hires.

Does anyone know when these consulting contracts are likely to expire? Will it be around the time of Obama's inauguration? Or were the contracts open ended so that the Digital Outreach Teams will continue to blog after January?

Even if they are still "on the payroll" so to speak, do you think their enthusiasm might wane after tonight? Kind of like being the last guys to turn out the lights after the the party.

3. Why would they end? Do you think the Obama Administration Will Deem 9/11 To Be An Inside Job?

Me? I'm going to start early on the "no birther" contingent of the Obama Birth Certificate Truth movement, because they need a little more crazy.

13. Is it unreasonable to think that the Obama Administration might answer the widows' questions?
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 02:33 PM by petgoat

Is there any reason they don't deserve answers to their questions,
or are you one who believes they enjoyed their husbands' deaths?

Are you one who thinks the widows don't deserve answers?

21. Well, thats an interesting list
I'll start by saying that I think that a large number of those questions should be answered. I don't think that all of them can be answered by the person being asked but thats a minor nitpick, they still deserve answers.

I have not done the cross reference to see how accurate the answers are, I'll assume the 23 acknowledged as satisfactory are ok. The ones they classify as "This question has been addressed in the Report, but not adequately answered." and that you classify as "73 non-answer responses" (perhaps you feel they mean the same thing but when I read them I get very different meanings), should be either clarified or given a follow-up to get an answer. The questions not answered, should be. I think it is likely that some of the questions pose a problem because I believe they fall under national security but I don't think I would have a problem with them being answered in a closed session and blacked out on a released document. This is really a nitpick as well, I think it is only a few questions and if the others were answered satisfactorily pretty much everyone would be ok with it.

I did not sign the petition and I will tell you my reasons. The petition is not just for the questions but for the entire document and that gives me three reasons not to sign - first, I have not read all of it, there is a LOT there. Second, though I have not read it all, I feel certain from the titles, I do not agree with them. Third, it appears to be a living document and I would not want to attach my name to something that I do not know what the final contents will be.

A couple more misc. things about the list. You say "and the widows' ratings of the answers" but I can't find that anywhere in your link, I did not find anything that said who rated them. I'm curious about this but to be honest, I don't think who did rate them really matters. I believe one of the worst things done over the last 8 years is the secrecy. I do believe some things should be secret but not even close to how its been done by these criminals. Also, the link says that these questions were submitted but not to who or how they were submitted... do you know?

I would suggest the questions be detached from the rest of the document and get a mass mailing done to elected officials. Probably the best chance of getting them addressed.

22. The ratings were by Mindy Kleinberg and Lorie van Auken, it says at the top of the list.
Your suggestion to mail the list to the officials is a good one.

Thanks!

16. Unfortunately
I doubt this will be high priority for Obama's Administration -- at least for this first term as our economy is in such shambles.

What I do think might happen is, if there are whistle-blowers who were afraid to surface during bush's reign, it is possible that they may begin to surface once he is out of office.

But, short of this, I don't see this as a high priority issue for our new magnificent administration.

12. What "jig"?

You believe the Obama administration is going to find that explosives were used to bring down the buildings on 9/11?

If not, then we obviously have job security making sure that the DU 9/11 Forum doesn't suddenly become the focal point of national thinking on the topic.

7. Honestly, I don't give a shit.
If their intention was to change U.S. public opinion enough to keep "their guy" in office, they failed. The RNC could pick up their contracts, I guess, but it's only a few short months before the "permanent majority" expires. Good fucking riddance.

10. Very likely there were private "Digital Outreach Teams" too.

9/11 inspired a gold rush for military contractors.

They wouldn't want to see the motivating myth damaged.

It's hard to reconcile those views with his beliefs about September 11th. I thought he was about the truth, not political expediency.
