9/11 - An Inside Job?
US officials are compiling what one called "growing" evidence that other hijackings may have been planned for September 11. Officials from both the government and the airline industry tell TIME Magazine that a knife-like weapon was found on each of two separate Delta Airlines aircraft later that day, although neither plane took off due to the nationwide grounding after the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks on hijacked United and American airlines planes.

Government sources would not describe in detail the nature of the weapons found on the Delta flights last week, but one official disclosed that another weapon was discovered on at least on other aircraft, owned by a fourth airline. The government official refused to name that carrier.

Investigators are not yet certain how these weapons came to be on board the aircraft. But they increasingly believe that the weapons may have been prepositioned by accomplices for use by others. As one US official told TIME, "These look like inside jobs."

The new evidence is causing officials to broaden their investigative and security efforts to encompass not only the carry-on bag screening system but the entire aviation security apparatus at US airports. The new evidence raises the worrisome possibility that the hijackers may have had accomplices deep within the 'secure' areas of airports that may include the shops and restaurants in the terminal behind the metal detectors, or amongst the thousands of people who work in catering, fueling or cleaning aircraft; or anyone who might have access to the airplane before takeoff.

Partly as a consequence, officials tell TIME, the FAA ordered all U.S. airlines on Wednesday to immediately check every single employee on their payrolls against the FBI's watch list of possible suspects. The FAA is also expected to take other actions within days, including possibly revoking contracts with airport security companies or requiring background checks on all airport security personnel.

The senior official confirmed that the air traffic system is on such a hair trigger that military jets have been scrambled more than a dozen times since Sept 11 to investigate other possible hijackings all of which turned out to be routine mistakes such as transponder problems, the temporary loss of radio contact between an aircraft and the air traffic controllers, or airplanes straying slightly off their intended flight paths.

The Pope thinks 9-11 was an inside job?

"...According to journalists close to the Vatican, the Pope and his closest advisers are also concerned that the ultimate acts of evil - the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon - were known in advance by senior Bush administration officials.

By permitting the attacks to take their course, there is a perception within the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy that a coup d'etat was implemented, one that gave Bush and his leadership near-dictatorial powers to carry out their agenda."
"The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor"
-- Project for a New American Century (2000)

Never mind the Pope, he's a pinko commie "hate-America-first" conspiracy wack-job.

The Secrets of September 11
A NEWSWEEK Web Exclusive:

The White House is battling to keep a report on the terror attacks secret. Does the 2004 election have anything to do with it?
Even as White House political aides plot a 2004 campaign plan designed to capitalize on the emotions and issues raised by the September 11 terror attacks, administration officials are waging a behind-the-scenes battle to restrict public disclosure of key events relating to the attacks.

At the center of the dispute is a more-than-800-page secret report prepared by a joint congressional inquiry detailing the intelligence and law-enforcement failures that preceded the attacksincluding provocative, if unheeded warnings, given to President Bush and his top advisers during the summer of 2001.

The report was completed last December; only a bare-bones list of findings with virtually no details was made public. But nearly six months later, a working group of Bush administration intelligence officials assigned to review the document has taken a hard line against further public disclosure.

By refusing to declassify many of its most significant conclusions, the administration has essentially thwarted congressional plans to release the report by the end of this month, congressional and administration sources tell NEWSWEEK.

2. My gut...
feeling keeps telling me Bushco, the neocons, and the Saudis all knew, planned and executed 9/11. Sounds sinister to think our own govt. will stoop this low but the evolution of PNAC, the stolen elections of 2000 and Bush sitting in that classroom for 7 minutes with a somewhat telling expression on his face that screamed "the attacks are happening, so just sit here for a couple of minutes and let them happen" just tells me this was all in works for many, many years by these people. It's really not a far-fetched theory if you take the time to connect the dots.

5. Cheney is certainly slickly treacherous enough...
To carry off such a plot, and there's plenty of evidence that he did!

6. your claim that bush was uninvolved because he's a moron
is like thinking it is safe to take a nap in traffic on the freeway because a hood ornament is a small, harmless thing. The little bushturd is just a hood ornament on VERY large, scary machine. A machine with no soul, no conscience and the means, opportunity and motivation to have carried out 9-11.

The little bushturd is uninvolved in everything, except as a wind-up doll who says and does what they tell him. That doesn't mean nothing is happening. Someone planned and executed the invasion of Iraq. Someone has been looting the treasury. Someone has gutted the Bill of Rights. If not your moron, who?

Three Open Letters...

As the effort to expose 911 gets more successful, the mainstream media get more hysterical in their opposition. Today we take apart three recent examples, responding to each in that time-honored format -- the "open letter."

Read these at:

Here's a snip form one of the open letters.

Zelikow: Losing to Bacteria
An Open Letter to Philip Zelikow and the Washington Post

Zelikow's worry about the spread of heretical ideas is apparently shared by the Washington Post, which published his comments yesterday in a pop-psychology piece by Carol Morello, analyzing the souls who have fallen prey to "conspiracy theories" about 9/11.

Morello's first step is to define what the "conspiracy theorists" think in the narrowest possible way. She focuses on a single notion - that the crash of a Boeing 767 does not explain the pattern of damage at the Pentagon. Her article pretends that this is the central hypothesis for all who question the official story of 9/11, which is untrue.

Before the Pentagon anomaly first arose as an issue among American researchers of 9/11 (in Nov. 2001), a broad case for doubting the government's claims had already been built. It was based in ample evidence of foreknowledge on the part of high U.S. officials, contradictions in investigators' statements about the alleged hijackers, and many other indications of complicity in the attacks by elements other than the Bin Laden networks.

This constantly growing body of evidence caused Sept. 11 families and advocates for disclosure to lobby for an independent investigation. It ultimately became the basis for a vibrant "9/11 truth movement."
