What Are The True Facts Concerning The Arab-Israeli Conflict?
FACT! THERE ARE 22 SOVEREIGN ARAB STATES IN THE MIDDLE EAST, INCLUDING OIL RICH SAUDI ARABIA AND KUWAIT, who steadfastly refuse to absorb the so-called 'palestinian refugees'...preferring to keep them as political pawns in order to blame Israel for their plight!

<snip>

FACT! UNTIL THE RECENT OUTBREAK OF THE ARAB UPRISING ('intifada')...ARABS NEVER CALLED THEMSELVES 'PALESTINIANS'.

AFTER HAVING FAILED TO ANNIHILATE ISRAEL IN FIVE WARS OF AGRESSION... THE ARAB WORLD, FOLLOWING THE LEAD OF UNREPENTANT P.L.O. CHIEF TERRORIST YASSER ARAFAT, .NOW CONTINUES TO UTILIZE HITLER'S 'BIG LIE' TECHNIQUE TO PERPETUATE THE MYTH THAT ISRAEL CREATED THE 'palestinian refugees' .

FACT! JEWS LIVED IN THE LAND OF PALESTINE FOR CENTURIES (as documented in countless historic records and scholarly books such as the widely acclaimed "From Time Immemorial" by journalist Joan Peters).

3. Question for Cherrypicker: The first intafada didn't happen until the 80s
Edited on Sun Aug-24-03 12:22 PM by Classical_Liberal
yet there was clearly a PLO during the Munich Olympics in 1974. What did the P in PLO stand for? Why are Arabs responsible for absorbing people israel kicked out, and why are they worse for not wanting people who don't belong in those countres than the native country that kicked them out?

7. Cherrypicker?
Just because we disagree, why do you feel the need to get personally offensive with me?

BTW, The Munich Olympics were in 1972, not 1974. I'm very familiar with that event since one of my friends was blown to bits by the terrorists at the airport.

5. LAUGH. The true fact is ...
... that the "True Facts" are irrelevant.

Speaking as an observer usually sympathetic to Israeli/Jewish concerns, nevertheless, duelling histories will NEVER contribute to an ultimate accommadation between Arab and Jew in the Levant.

In fact, the duelling histories are a positive obstruction. It has nothing to do with the accuracy of your catalogue or any other opposing catalogue that might be presented by a partisan of Palestinian/Arab nationalism.

If everyone involves keeps picking historical scabs, obviously, the result is that everyone will keep bleeding.

8. I hope you find my comments civil
I also don't understand why the 22 Arab sovereign Arab states in the Middle East refuse to absorb the so-called(?) Palestinian refugees, but who says they have to? Isn't every country free to make its own laws?

"Arabs never call themselves 'Palestinians'."
So? What's in a name? You can call them "people from the area of Palestine," or whatever if you like. What difference does it make. I don't understand this.

"After having failed to annihilate Israel in five wars of agression...the Arab world...perpetuate the myth that Israel created the 'Palestinian refugees'."
I understand about 700,000 Palestinian did become refugees when Israel was created, didn't they? So Israel didn't "create the refugees," but "they became refugees when Israel was created."

"Jews lived in the land of Palestine for centuries."
Didn't Arabs or Palestinians or whatever people want to call them also lived there for centuries?

You know, I really feel sorry for the majority of the people of Israel and the majority of the Palestinians! How long, how many generations, do you think before they can live in peace?
