Officials fear Jewish extremists may crash plane on Temple Mount
Using box-cutters no doubt.
For those not aware, the "Temple Mount" is also known as
the "Dome of the Rock".

Israeli security officials have recently
become increasingly concerned that
right-wing extremists might be plotting
an attack on the Temple Mount in
Jerusalem to derail Israel's planned
withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. The
Shin Bet security service and the police
are preparing for a number of possible
terror attack scenarios at the sacred Old
City site, Israeli security sources said
last night.

Speaking on the Channel Two "Meet
the Press" program yesterday, Public
Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi
confirmed that the security
establishment had identified rising
intent among right-wing extremists to
carry out a Temple Mount attack.

"There is no information about specific
individuals, because the Shin Bet and
police would not let them continue their plot]," said Hanegbi. "But there are
troubling indications of purposeful
thinking, and not detached philosophy...
There is a danger that
would make use of the most explosive
site, in the hope that a chain reaction
would bring about the destruction of the
peace process."

2. Temple Mount activist says blowing up Dome of Rock is “worthy act”

Harsh reactions to statement made by Yehuda Etzion of the Temple Mount Loyalists Movement and former “Jewish underground” member.

<snip>

"Blowing up the Dome of the Rock is a worthy act”, Yehuda Etzion, one of the leaders of the Movement of the Temple Mount Loyalists and a former convicted member of the “Jewish underground”, has told Army Radio this (Sunday) morning.

Etzion’s words came as a response to Public Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi’s comments on Channel Two’s ‘Meet the Press’ by which, “The prospects that Jewish extremists could carry out an attack on the Temple Mount in order to prevent the disengagement plan from being implemented are growing."

<snip>

" Another leading right-wing activist who refused to be identified has told NRG Maariv, “I don’t know any person who would blow up the Temple Mount but if this situation persists and the Palestinians would continue to control it, I wouldn’t be surprised if thousands of Jews would forcefully make their way up to the mount in order to pray. Hanegbi and other officials are preparing groundwork for administrative detentions. We will continue to act; they wont intimidate us”.

Earlier, a senior police official reiterated the statement made by Hanegbi. According to the official, there have been “quite a few statements made by Jewish extremists as of late regarding a possibility of an attack on the Temple Mount in an attempt to derail the disengagement."

6. Similarly
all the threads I post on attacks on Israel and Israelis go unresponded to. What do you get for nothing?

Besides, I've already heard the extremist's talk. It's not news, it's not an event, it's being attended to by the government and themilitary is increasing security measures.

Going back to what was posted a month or more ago about how the Israeli press isn't covering extremists activity. Well, here it is. You comment. Get excitied. Blow a fuse.
