Israel finds common ground with Africans in fight against Islamic extremists

Israel has identified eastern Africa as an important strategic interest and is stepping up ties with nations in the region in a joint effort to control the spread of Islamic extremists, officials said Thursday.

In effect, Israel would become a player siding with Christian-led African nations in conflicts with Muslim movements, a fault line that has sharpened around the continent in recent years. Israeli moves come as the United States as well has hiked up military support for African governments, in large part to combat al-Qaida-linked groups.

Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, hosted the leaders of Uganda and Kenya earlier this week, following a meeting at the United Nations in September with the president of the newly liberated South Sudan, the mainly Christian and animist nation that gained independence from Muslim Arab-led Sudan in July.

The outcome of the meetings — and the extent of Israel’s moves to ally with the Africans — remains murky. Kenya’s leader went so far as to say Israel promised to provide security assistance to his country to help protect its borders Israeli officials say such claims are premature, but say an alliance with Kenya and other eastern African countries is natural.

1. Israel/Africans
Not a good move for Africa or Africans at all.Israel needs to stay out of Africa.
In fact all Western Nations need to stay out of Africa and leave the whole continent of Afro Asiatic peoples alone.
Western nations have done enough damage through out the last 2,500 years and should not be involved in any military.
Israel needs to mind their own business and leave well enough alone.
The unbridled arrogance of Western European colonizers, who feels they are superior to others is beyond the pale.
They think they have a divine right to go all over the world and insert themselves in every corner of the earth, dictating to non White peoples what is best for them in their own land, and the first thing they do is start installing military bases moving in troops military equipment and start dictating to them and telling others what their security situation should be,and who they can have or not have as friends or allies

2. What an interesting perspective
So you think African countries that ask for assistance should be denied?
