Hamas leaders ..... order halt to Qassam fire
Edited on Wed Jun-14-06 11:13 PM by pelsar
seems a non violent method might have been found to stop the Qassams.....at least it may work, which in turn israel will no longer have to fire into gaza and the citizens of gaza can start working on their economy and start exporting via Egypt:

Hamas instructed its operatives Monday night to stop the rocket fire, during a meeting between Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and top Hamas military wing officials in Gaza.

guess having a defense minister from Morocco who lives in sederot has some added benefits...and if it works and they stop with the kassams, I'm sure the citizens of gaza would think that its a good thing (though i guess some others will be disappointed....)

and their economy
The Palestinian controlled Rafah terminal could offer an alternative to Karni for some direct exports to third countries (i.e. without the need to go through Israel) and the Agreement on Movement and Access allows exports to leave Rafah.   A number of Palestinian exporters have sought to move goods through the Rafah terminal.....
