Fatah Al Aqsa Martyrs claims Ma'aleh Adumim stabbing

The Fatah Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades has claimed responsibility for a Saturday night stabbing attack in Ma'aleh Adumim, Israel Radio reported Sunday.

It quoted a statement to a Palestinian news service, in which the armed group said that it had attempted to kidnap a resident of the West Bank settlement-city, but that they did not succeed, and fled.

The victim, Sergei Karavachov, 45, was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Karen hospital after he was discovered late Saturday. He underwent surgery overnight, and was listed Sunday in serious but stable condition.

He is under sedation, and being respirated.
