The Israeli-Arab businessman who was killed in the Amman terrorist bombings Wednesday night, Husam Fathi Mahajna, was buried yesterday evening in the northern town of Umm al-Fahm.
Mahajna, 36, is survived by a wife, daughters aged 10 and seven, and a seven-month-old boy."Husam tried to persuade me to come on the trip, and at the last minute I decided not to go," his close friend and partner, Mohammed Yusef Jabrin, said yesterday. "I'm starting to think about what would have happened if I'd been with him. I would have been killed, or maybe we would have been somewhere else, and then I would have saved him."
Mahajna was well known in the Wadi Ara region, where he ran a successful paint manufacturing business, and where he recently set up private medical emergency clinics with Jabrin.
"This guy had amazing ambition," Jabrin said. "He frequently said he would become one of the biggest paint salesmen in the country."
