2. Actually, not very common at all.
Only 0.72% of homicides involve three or more victims.

Still way more common than it should be regardless of culture or means.

23. Nope sorry Hoyt....
A gun was merely the tool. He could have done it with anything. In fact, we had a similar story a few months back where the guy did about the same thing, only he beat his wife and kids to death and then shot himself.

Feel free to refuse to accept reality though. Its served you well so far...

5. So much more tragic than today's story of...
...the Florida man who beat two people to death with a baseball bat over an unpaid debt. "If only there were no guns...." Yeah, if only. I'm sure most murder victims would be happier being beaten to death instead of shot to death.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-501363_162-57336250/fla-man... /

(AP) MIAMI A North Florida man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after authorities say he beat a man and a woman to death with a baseball bat and then photographed their bodies.

Authorities said Saturday that Craig Arron Lede, 40, of Spring Hill is being held without bond after telling investigators that he killed John Ketsemidis, 29, and Dana Nelson, 28, at Lede's house on Wednesday when he became enraged that a debt couldn't be repaid. The suspect also allegedly drove to the home of the male victim's mother the next day trying to get money while the female victim's body was stashed in the trunk.

6. Don't you realize that gunshot victims are deader?
Just like suicide victims in Japan (where guns are very rarely used) aren't nearly as dead as those that use guns...

16. What bearing does the publication rate have, on the real rate of occurrence?
Edited on Sun Dec-04-11 02:31 PM by beevul
Theres a difference between "very common occurrence" and "very commonly publicized".

Your implication, requires that they go hand in hand, which as we all know, is not truth. People VERY commonly eat breathe and defecate, yet such is not publicized. We have elections every 4 years, which are highly publicized, yet they occur at a rate of one every 4 years.

And of course, "very common" is relative.

"very common" in relation to what?

In a nutshell, the only thing google confirms is "highly publicized".

18. There are these things called 'links'. It would improve your credibility to provide at least one.
That which is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

...fewer than 1% of all firearms related deaths....

Then you would not have to make up your own version of the story.
