Teen in stolen BMW shot in the back.

A 15-year-old South Florida boy died and two of his friends were being interviewed by deputies in Palm Beach County after their plans for a robbery went wrong.
A trio of teenaged boys were staking out potential robbery victims in Boynton Beach Tuesday when one of them apparently accidentally fired a weapon, killing another member, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
As they looked for victims, one of the boys in the back began fiddling with the gun, which went off, striking Davis in the driver’s seat.
The two other teens pulled their friend from the car, dragged him to the entrance of the apartment complex around 7:30 a.m. and called for help.
Paramedics took Davis to Delray Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

2. Don't Darwin Award candidates kill themselves?
The killer still has the ability to breed.

5. Or get themselves killed stupidly, but yes.

The one who died might qualify, the other two would be at most honorable mentions.

4. Does this constitute felony murder? They were "staking out" victims...
Is this a felony, esp. since the thugs admitted to planning a felony, and were evidently in the early stages of executing the plan.

If so, perhaps the thugs here never learned this in their civics classes (a proud accomplishment no doubt bragged about):

When arrested, keep your mouth shut.

6. Depends on the state I believe, but probably.
In most places, if anyone gets killed during a crime, even an accomplice, the criminals can be charged with their murder.

9. they don't teach civics in Florida
esp. since Jeb got came up with the stupid FCAT. Since then, it is more about teach to the test on a few subjects. I realized how bad during a teacher parent conference when the teacher mentioned my son sleeping through that class every day. He was getting straight A s from the guy. Osmosis? No, turned out that he learned the same material three years earlier in Kansas.

But what good is that stuff when you are being trained for low-paying service sector jobs? I mean, we don't won't some kind of demonstration by malcontents.
