Mexican officials claim ATF “walked” guns suspected in the death of 150 Mexicans
Mexican officials claim at least 150 Mexican were killed by ATF “walked” guns.

ATF admits at least 195 guns “walked” to Mexico have been found at crime scenes in Mexico.

US officials are questioning how the Mexican authorities got their estimate of 150 victims….gosh with 195 guns found….surprising that the victim count isn’t more like 300 since many of the shootings in Mexico involve multiple victims. And we don’t even know for sure if only 195 weapons were allowed to “walk” across the line. Some estimates put the number much higher.

The BATF has lots and lots of blood on its hands, and STILL many want to give the BATF MORE POWER, and athority...

1. And
Fast and Furious was part of Project Gunrunner, a broad A.T.F. program aimed at stemming the flow of guns to criminal groups in Mexico. Since it began in 2006, Gunrunner has seized more than 10,000 firearms and led to the arrests of more than 800 suspects. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/16/us/16guns.html?_r=2&smid=tw-nytimes&seid=auto

Why do you guys never post this little fact?

7. And yet, the drug-related murders in Mexico continue to soar.
You want less gun murders? You want less murders overall?

Legalize drugs.

10. Hell, we might not even object to "Fast & Furious" if it were competently handled
If, say, it had involved the Mexican federal police to take over surveillance once the guns were smuggled across the border, as opposed to just losing track of them, shrugging, then repeating a process that had been shown to not work. And then there's trying to sweep said fuck-ups under the carpet until, finally, one of the guns they let slip was used to kill a federal agent and the whole thing started to unravel.

15. And why won't you post the little fact that
Fast & Furious started in 2009?

Or that that the DOJ is actively trying to hinder the investigation?
