Indiana Bill Prevents Local Governments From Restricting Gun Rights
Columbus, OH --(Ammoland.com)- Indiana Senate Bill 292, introduced by Senator Jim Tomes (R – Blairsville), and signed into law by Governor Mitch Daniels, prohibits local municipalities from regulating firearms, ammunition, and firearms accessories.

Specifically, the bill prohibits municipalities from enacting local laws that are more restrictive than state laws. It covers almost every aspect of gun ownership including the possession, carrying, transportation, registration, transfer, and storage of firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories.

7. Restricting government power is an authoritarian, nanny state tactic?
I guess it makes sense that fascist, secret lists are progressive, then? And "yup" is a substantive point?

9. There are free dictionaries available online...
"Destroying local government control is fascist GOP/NRA Nanny Statism."

Your command of the English language is even poorer than I thought, and that's saying something. By your definition, the Bill of Rights is a fascist document, in that it prevents local governments from controlling their citizens in many ways.

The gun control reality distortion field has you wrapped around its little finger.

12. It would be "common snese" if you could come up with stats to support your assertion...
but you can't or won't.

Good luck with that....

10. Yeah!
Local governments should control air pollution standards, not the Fascists!

:sarcasm:

Of course, if the State Government of Indiana saw fit to BAN ALL PRIVATE OWNERSHIP OF GUNS, I doubt we'd be hearing a peep of protest out of you.

If you're willing to flip-flop on every aspect of your philosophy of government in order to achieve a specific result for a specific topic, then you have no credibility.

14. Do you oppose California's AWB, then?
Since it certainly doesn't allow cities and counties to opt out, thereby "destroying local government control." And how would you feel about allowing cities and counties to institute their own petty restrictions on a woman's reproductive choice?

Statewide preemption, regardless of the issue, is usually aimed at protecting individual civil liberties, and this is no exception.
