Brady Campaign Supports "Post-Ban" Assault Weapons !!
Edited on Mon Nov-10-03 01:01 AM by funkyflathead
Oh wow what hypocrites!

They are part of Dianne Feinstein's "coalition" to renew the CURRENT assault weapons ban and not strengthen it.

I don't mind AB-10s being on the streets but Tec-9s, no sir. That threaded barrel is pure EVILLLL!

ALL POST 1994 LEGAL

1. Only your imagination limits your fun?
Here's where you got that pic from for anyone else who's curious like I was.

http://www.vpc.org/intrtec.htm

(snip)

Notorious for its willingness to cater to the criminal market, Intratec's dealer advertising copy has bragged that its guns are "as tough as your toughest customers." The 1994 dealer copy for the TEC-DC9 promised that the assault pistol was "ideal for self-defense or recreation" and "does not give up one ounce of gutsy performance and reliability to any other gun on the market." Intratec is not subtle in its pitch for the male market. Up until 1995 the company offered a wall calendar featuring its handguns held by pouty-lipped models in various stages of undress. The 1994 calendar displayed a semi-nude model on all fours holding an assault pistol. An advertising flat for the "Scorpion Series" Tec-22 featured the pistol posed majestically in front of a raging fire. A scorpion poised to strike crawls alongside the weapon. The text read: "A 30-round magazine is standard and ready to be 'jungle clipped' with a second mag. for 60 rounds of immediate firepower....The TEC-22. It's fun. It's affordable. And it's hot." Other advertising copy for the Tec-22 promised, "Only your imagination limits your fun!"

3. I imagine folks are just chuckling at the source
you chose to use to try and "pick a fight" (which is clearly what you're doing) with the "anti-gunners". I know I am :-)

5. No, We're Just Still Rolling On The Floor Laughing....
... at your lame attempt to paint VPC as something it isn't.

Thank you for being such a wonderful contestant. And as a consolation prize, we have Rice-A-Roni and Turtle Wax......

6. At least the VPC folks aren't hypocrites

unlike the Bradys.

The VPCers have principles. They know the AB10 is virtually no different than the TEC-9.

Tell that to Sarah Brady.

Get my point? VPC wants all semi-autos banned.

Brady justs wants compromise and screw over the NRA.

like the Bushmaster used in the Maryland Sniper Killings?

11. FFH, it's the same mentality as "closing the gun-show loophole"
They create a bogus problem, trump it up with propaganda e.g. "weapon of choice for <bogeyman du jours>", claim to fix it with a half-baked solution that doesn't really change anything because the horse has already left the barn, pronounce anyone who doesn't support the legislation as being in league with the bogeyman, then blame the failure on some evil group exploiting "loopholes" in the silly law they created.

12. And Just HOW Is the NRA Limiting the Distribution of Bushmasters?
Your "logic" escapes me.

13. Where did I say that?
My point is the Brady Camp endorsed S 1034 which would still allow the Bushmaster rifle to be bought and sold.

The VPC has endorsed a bill that would ban it - HR 2038.
