O well, we will get beat over the head with this, more "proof" that we "just don't understand"...Now back to my vacation, on a beautiful South Carolina Beach....

1. So no discussion of drug legalization or gun policy? Sounds like PC Nazis...the bane of the left
The problem is that the left and right really aren't that different. Most of the people take up different positions but, fundamentally, it's just about being dogmatic and people wanting to exert power and control.

This, hopefully, won't get picked up by the right, but it's exactly PC mentality that the right can use against Dems.

Why shouldn't there be debate of every kind at a political convention???? I mean what the hell is the point of it?

5. Huh?!
Ya think they believe rural, blue collar working stiffs really are bitter and clinging to guns???

Maybe the DNC is too stupid to figure it out but the election is theirs to lose. They appear to be working mightily to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

Maybe those Blue Dog victories in 2006 by pragmatic progressives have overlooked or discounted. Can the Party really afford to convince the moderates and the independents that the latte-laced, limousine liberal loony is not just a derogatory stereotype, but actual fact?

7. I would not perceive discussing drug legalization

as "content promoting illegal drugs".

If adultery were illegal, I would advocate legalizing adultery. I would not advocate adultery, and I would object to being characterized as promoting adultery.

The thing is rather incoherent, to say the least.

It would make sense to prohibit content "promoting the use of illegal drugs".

Ditto for firearms. What does "content promoting firearms" mean? Not much.

8. Wow!
*Picks up jaw off floor*

I read this several times to make sure I got it right.

Yep, iverglas criticized. . .

. . . criticized

She criticized . . . "incoherent" anti-gun drivel!!!

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I must say I'm impressed, and I mean that in a good way.

*Faints*

6. I tried to send an e-mail to the DNC about this...
But the send feature was disabled. Evidently, they are not accepting e-mails.

9. Maybe NORML should submit a video
As long as they are not promoting the use of marijuana, only the legalization of marijuana. I think they could wing it. Only problem is that the NORMLites are mostly Libertarian Party loyalists.

10. something needs to be done, the war on (some) drugs has cost
us to much in terms of treasure and the loss of civil liberties. I don't do any illegal drugs and never have, but I find it staggering that none of our ruling class has ever read about the fiasco that was prohibition, or maybe they have but took a different lesson from it.

11. war on drugs
is half the assault on the Tree of Liberty

NEVER underestimate the damage eager and self-serving politicians can do trying to convince the most stupid of their constituencies they are "doing something" about a "problem."
