Investigators said the 14-year-old told police Danny Allen, 13, was visiting his house on Buffalo Springs Drive near Interstate 35 when an argument ensued and Allen began stabbing him at about 5:30 p.m

According to police, the two teenagers struggled before the 14-year-old grabbed his father's handgun and shot Allen several times

Janepsy Cindy Mesa was in the process of moving out of the ill-fated house when she walked into a bedroom and was confronted by a man.

The man, who turned out to have been an acquaintance of her late husband, was shot several times by Mesa, who then ran screaming outside and called 911. North Miami police deemed the incident a case of self-defense.

No charges to be filed in shooting

The man got his gun and ordered Ross to stop.
Deputies say Ross kept getting closer, so the man fired.
Investigators say they consulted with prosecutors and decided not to charge the shooter because he was acting in self defense.

3. No alcohol gallery?
You mean to tell me that this thing which anyone and his/her dog can get with so little as a fake I.D. and which can be easily concealed on or in ones person - you know, one of those things that may as well have one of those cloaking device thingies - and doesn't have to have background check or registration, and that we never just know what someone will do with, and that the misuse of causes over a 75 thousand deaths per year in America...does not have its own post?

Probably better off that it doesn't. It may take up half the thread.

Where to post various gun-related topics
Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 12:57 PM by Skinner

Since we re-organized our forums, DU now has two forums for discussions relating to Guns and 2nd Amendment issues. Each of those forums has a specific purpose. Help us keep posts on-topic in each of those forums.

Discussion of gun-related public policy issues or the use of firearms for self-defense belong in the Guns Forum.

Personal-interest discussion about guns and weaponry should be posted in the Outdoor Life Group.
By "personal interest" I mean, any discussion that is unrelated to public policy, such as: Posting pictures of guns or discussing the leisure activities of hunting or shooting.

Currently, the outdoor life group hosts discussions related to a number of outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking, climbing, and camping. Members are reminded to be respectful of individuals that engage in any of these activities.

DU moderators have the authority to move threads which are placed in the wrong forum or group.

Got any others you need help with?
