I'm sure getting the feeling Obama has accepted the secret 50 year war plan
I read somewhere that from the beginning the real war plan was to keep large numbers of troops in central Asia for 50 years...to keep control of the oil until it runs out or our economy has transitioned away from oil dependence. I don't see any news that disputes that.

Do I have proof? No.

"The other day, I interviewed a terrorism expert. How long, I asked, will we have to live with these terror alerts, and will the coming war on Iraq make us more or less secure from terrorism?

His answer? In the short run, the war will make us less secure. In the long run, disarming Iraq will deny terrorists access to at least some weapons of mass destruction. But we must expect to live with terror alerts for the rest of our lives, he said, as this war will last as long as the Cold War itself."

1. There ought'a be a law like Godwin's for anyone who seriously (or should I
say "seriesly"?) quotes Pat Buchanan. And another law against cyan and magenta text.

2. Well, OK, but the fact is we do not have to capability to control central Asia.
That does not mean that there are no maroons in the government who entertain such fantasies, but we cannot even control Afghanistan, or Iraq, etc. So whether some loons in the government have been thinking this sort of thing between bong hits, or not, doesn't illuminate the situation much.

Terrorism, FWIW, has a long history, it is not a recent invention, it has always been a popular political tool, and there is no reason to think we can make it obsolete. People that talk that way are just pulling your leg.

3. New Prez..same SHADOW GOVT?
* the wars in the ME CONFIRM peak oil/resources?

* some claim the reason we are in the ME doesn't have much to do with oil...but then the demographic and radical Muslim problems wouldn't exist without the oil being there? And Israel being there?

* there is one version of reality that is used to indoctrinate/mollify the Am citizen....and another is used to determine actual foreign policy?

I'm fairly sure the US SHADOW GOVT knows about peak oil/resources and global warming and the coming conflicts...and is planning for a far different future than the happy fantasy land of waving flags and shopping malls used to encourage the Am citizen. Why? Because the herd needs to be kept calm...a calm and happy herd shops and fights wars...and a bit of FEAR helps to keep them in line. The OTHER PEOPLE are evil...and Americans always inhabit the high ground.

Don't assume that you are being exploited as much as those evil people in other countries..."they" would never do that to Americans.

So why has the US dug such a deep debt hole? Supported Israel's land grab and even tried to duplicate it? Got itself stuck in two wars in the ME? Done next to nothing about oil dependence? Ignored global warming? Built the worlds largest military on borrowed money?

NEVER FEAR! The SHADOW GOVT knows....or does it?

Is it incompetence or corruption? Or both?

Or can the US problems be blamed on someone else? Remember...we have the worlds largest military.....

5. Dance The Dance?
I have tended to ponder that Barrack just may be dancing to their music. If that was the plan all along then he must be the greatest persuader of all time. And more then likely the greatest deceiver. But I am inclined to believe that he is a good man that may have been influenced by a photo handed to him by the "Shadow" SS. Showing his daughters on their way to school with a frame shot, through a camera of a snipers scope.
