Sunday March 18, 2007

Police say the package was discovered just after 1:30pm at Yonge and Alexander Street.

The immediate area was cleared, and the bomb squad was called-in.

"Nobody really knew what was going on," said eyewitness Hugh Sturdy.

Hey, hoser... check out this bomb, 'ey."

The incident also halted a late portion of Sunday's St. Patrick's Day Parade.

There's no word on what was in the package, but the area has since reopened to traffic.
