So you'd like to... Have The F.B.I. Start A File On You.
<see>
We are the Tomorrow that is Harvested in the Past:
The Corporate Overthrow of the United States of America in the 20th Century

Introduction

"This is how the war machine operates. Behind the seeming concern for national security are the busy men with the bulging briefcases hurrying from the Pentagon over to Capitol Hill, the tight-mouthed men hurrying from CIA headquarters over to the Pentagon; it is eventually a game. It is an operation designed to produce for the warfare sector and its military hardware supporters billions of dollars annually and unlimited power in the affairs of the nation.

"Since the end of World War II, the United States has spent a thousand billion dollars-one trillion dollars-furnished by the American people, who have been colonized by these men and their hunger for power. Could the CIA kill a President to keep such an operation going? Kings have been beheaded for infinitely less."

Jim Garrison, A Heritage of Stone (1970).

As for FBI tracking individuals, posting on DU could already have seeded an open file on many of us:

<snip>
A guide by citizen-echo, Trouble Is My Middle Name

The easiest way to have the FBI start a file on you is to write a left-leaning guide like this on Amazon. The FBI loves to spy on private citizens using the internet, so they may start a file by reading some innocuous message you posted on the internet.
Another easy way to get an FBI file started is to write the FBI requesting your file...If you don't have a file, the FBI will start one, because they figure you're up to something rotten, if you request a file. It was easier to get a file going in the 60s when Nixon had an enemies list the size of the New York City phone directory. But hope springs eternal, now that Bush has a second term "mandate." Ashcroft may be gone, but the witch hunt is just beginning!
<snip>

PART I. RADICAL NAME DROPPING WILL GET YOU EVERWHERE

PART II BOOKS TO CHECK OUT AT THE LIBRARY OR BUY AT AMAZON TO USE AS PROPS

PART III. DEVELOPING A FASHIONABLE RADICAL CHIC STYLE

PART IV: MUSIC FOR WANNA-BE RADICALS

PART V. THE RIGHT FILMS WILL GET YOU NOTICED

PART VI: IF ALL ELSE FAILS...GET FUNKY

<snip>

Good luck in your endeavor to get your FBI file started. It should not be a problem to get FBI to notice you in the current right-wing political climate. Our graduate level seminar, you will learn how to get your own personalized wanted poster in your local post office.

1. I'm on the list... I think
I'm sure, using this pseudonym has already gotten me on their list, esp. since I co-author a website of the same name... though we're redoing it right now.

3. LOL
Yup. I bet that did the job
I'd check out your site but then I'd probably get a file too.

2. I think I already have one from the 60s
but I don't want to do a FOIA and find out. It would only aggravate me.
I didn't really do anything, but went to a lot of SDS meetings.

4. I'd be surprised if I didn't already have one.

I'd imagine any successful student activist endeavors during college is enough to start a file.

But they can't even seem to kick the illegal immigrant Chinese spies out, so I'm not to worried about it.

5. damn, they for sure got me on books
eh, they've already come talked. They came, they saw, I sent them away.

Then there was the time the local poe-leece dropped by looking for a dead body. I was at home with SO baking scratch oatmeal cookies in my pajamas on a Friday night. They searched my cabinets, toolbox and closets; "you wouldn't believe what you can do with a five gallon bucket, a daid body and a circular saw" wuz what they told me.

Unfortunately for me I have three circular saws and a compound miter saw. Unfortunately for them I did not have a daid body laying around in my silverware drawer.

When I asked them to check the neighbor's houses to see if perhaps one of them had a shooting range in their bedroom, they refused. Finally when I said the only sound that could have sounded like a gunshot would have been me closing my car door out front while I was carrying in gruesome oatmeal, brown sugar, flour and raisins, being as I am a flaming gun grabbing liberal commi pinko fag.

Oh yeah, you never know, you could easily hide a dead body on a bookshelf in plain sight. How freaking absurd.

At least they could have come up with a better excuse to search my house without a warrant. circular saws, harrumph.

8. I was once arrested over a John Wayne Bobbit autograph.
My husband was, um, unwell and created a ruckus. PD was called by neighbors (they were right, there was a ruckus). They decided that I'd done somefin' and went hunting around the house looking for a weapon.

They found a knife that JWB autographed for Doug as a joke once when Doug opened for him. (Okay, he REALLY needed the money.) So, I'm sitting there upset because I don't yet know my husband has a personality disorder and self harms, and the PD walk to up me with this knife I've never seen. Only been hitched about 4 months.

I looked at it and read it. There was a curious absence of blood or other bodily fluids on it. (They took if off a rack in the kitchen, also a joke. He's a comedian, hello?)

The PD nodded at my explanation, said, "Oh, right, he's that comedian." And arrested me just in case. I wasn't liking them for about 12 hours.

Ah, the good old days.

9. Heck, I'm sure everyone has a file on me...
FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.

In college I interviewed with NSA, 15 years later took CIA's qualification tests, and a carry permit has my prints in the FBI databases for sure.

I haven't exactly been a wall flower about speaking my mind over the years either.

10. Talosian Close Encounters (Funky Bunkie)
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 11:11 AM by viperf117a
Talosian Close Encounters:

After two years of contemplating personal experiences with religious and overly zealous “Christian” conservatives (right wing), I have come to draw one conclusion. Dean was not too far in left field by calling them what he did but rather in the passion of the moment, he was obviously not thinking very democratically. In light of a proposed better choice, I think Talosian is applicable by implying a more graphic and symbolic meaning of the empire.

(Chief Talosian of 1966)

I refer to an earlier statement made by a familiar Talosian zealot and monarchist:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow, well lets see.... why? Why do you left wing wanna be spiritualists have to set out on your life long journeys to try and find some "code" "conspiracy" or "meaning" to life? You move around from town to town and think that you can walk in with your ideals and thoughts of what America should and every one will be just like you and except you with open arms. Then when the road gets bumpy whats the first thing you pull out of your hat? Oh look everyone the "race" card! You bought a new house in the f-ing town. Its a small town... EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYONE!!! :)-You are looking for excuses! Ill tell you where you belong... in California with every one else like you.
Shame on you. -- Newbie quick

A republic oriented point of view very Talosian and non-democratic.
Obviously the prolonged effects of long-term Talosian exposure:

Space the final frontier these are the voyages of the starship Enterprise its continuing mission to explore strange new worlds and seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man had gone before... -- Prelude to Star Trek. Swoosh…

A Suggestion for Talosian monarchists (Right Wing Wackos): Plato was not a colored malleable substance that can be molded to ones will but rather a philosopher. Please refer to Plato’s Stepchildren (The Sons of Socrates) for further enlightenment. http://soundwavs.trekkieguy.com/3/65/power.wav

We know were Talos IV is located!

“The Left Wing Liberal Team Salute – Live long and prosper!”

Recently UFO Investigated (and building the file)!

Reference:

Talosian - A race of beings eager to study human beings in their natural state while creating illusions to make things appear exactly as they would like.

Talos IV — A planet to which a visit carries the death penalty (for left wing liberals).

Talosian UFO – Left-wing sightings on Talos IV resulting in possible terrorism reports to officials.

911 – A government code (formula) usually preceding a Talosian UFO report and used for determining the percentage of liberals investigated for posting political propaganda like this using Al’s democratic media.
