Who get's the $.51 ethanol subsidy?? Can you say big oil??

Who get's the $.51 ethanol subsidy?? Can you say big oil??
I was indeed shocked to learn that most of the $.51 a gallon ethanol subsidy goes to the producers that BLEND the ethanol with gasoline.. And not the ethanol producer although they can share in a small amount of it!!

Be eliminating this subsidy, we could save the taxpayers of $3 billion a year..

2. Not enough ethanol can be made
to blend it with all gasoline..

3. ok not "all" gasoline, just mandate current ethanol use levels
perhaps increasing each year.

the point is, why should government PAY filthy rich oil companies?

4. Muscle car owners in NM bitch every winter
when the gas here is blended with ethanol, although I've never noticed a difference in any 4 cylinder vehicle I've driven out here. I guess if you drag on urban streets like a pinheaded moron, you do notice a difference in performance. There used to be a couple of gas stations in town that advertised "NO ETHANOL!" before the law got changed to outlaw it.

That said, I think the big winner in the ethanol ripoff is ADM.
