What do you think
about over unity/scalar energy, found this interview and though it interesting, a lot of it is beyong my understanding. If what is said here is true then most of it is beyond our understanding since it redefines magnetics as we know it.

I'm down for a reformat, will check back later.

Rare interview with Tom Bearden on the forgotten work of Nikola Tesla

1. Very, Very Unlikely

These types of things show up every few years, often with Tesla's name involved. Getting a US patent doesn't mean much - you need to prove that something is new, and that it's not obvious, but you don't have to prove that it actually works as advertised.

2. Hadn't heard of this guy Bearden, but the man I watched in
Edited on Sat Oct-28-06 11:45 AM by Boo Boo
that video interview is, at best, a con man. More probably, he is nuts and a con man. The amazing thing is that he actually manages to raise investment capital for this stuff. Here's a link to a website about Tom Bearden, which covers some the foolishness he's produced over the years. Pay particular attention to his theory of how the Soviets used "scalar EM" weapons to destroy the Space Shuttle. If he's serious, then he's batshit crazy.

My favorite bit is his declaration that the definition of Energy as "the ability to do work" is completely wrong. Ah, I see. So I guess that, by extension, we could say that "free energy" doesn't have to work.

Boy, that's a relief. :eyes:

3. pretty much what I thought
too, but every once in a while they produce a new face to push this stuff forward, and I wanted to get some other opinions on the idea as a whole.

I read a little here and there about cold fusion success on small scale, and I do believe there is a way to tap into energy sources that are not limited by our present understanding or technology. I just hope someone finds one soon.

4. Tesla was a prolific inventor, but also eccentric, and kept a lot of secrets ...
making him rich fodder for conspiracy theorists and secret invention "rediscoveries". Tesla invented the 'three-phase' alternating current used almost everywhere today, as well as a variety of electric motors, generators, and associated hardware which form the fundamental infrastructure of electrical distribution networks today. He is probably more responsible than anyone (even Thomas Edison) for the rapid growth and development of the electrical industry, but is not a well-known name to the public. It is sad that almost the only time one sees his name mentioned today it is in connection with another crackpot idea -- due in part to the fact that while he had a brilliant flair for invention, his grasp of theory was fairly minimal, and he suggested quite a few crackpot ideas himself, especially once past his peak years.
