COLUMBUS, Ohio — Grocery store operator Kroger Co. on Thursday said it plans to begin selling E85 ethanol fuel at its gas stations in central Ohio, starting in August.

"We believe customer interest in this alternative fuel will grow as it becomes more conveniently available," said Bruce Macaulay, president of Kroger's Great Lakes division, in a statement.

Gee, do you think people will prefer to buy fuel from American farmers instead of sending the money out of the country to Governments with dubious loyalties and to those who contribute to terrorists?

1. Gee, I wish we had never moved from Columbus 10 years ago now.

3. Excellent news
I think there are two stations in metro Detroit that sell E85. I think the Meijer's gas stations are going to start carrying it. Meijer's is the only place I know that has natural gas pumps.

4. I thought Meijer's had already started selling it ... heard on NPR a few
months ago that they had agreed to cooperate with GM, Ford, and some other companies (distributors, IIRC) to get E85 program going in MI.

5. I don't think the Meijer's near Ann Arbor sell it yet
They might have started selling it at some of their stations, but I haven't seen it in metro Detroit yet.
