The politics around progressive energy policy in the United States are proving to be a tricky game, and one that doesn't appear that it will be sorted out anytime in the near future.
A recently leaked Republican energy strategy document shows there is little room for agreement between the two parties regarding energy regulations already set in place, let alone coming together on a comprehensive federal policy addressing climate change and energy production.
Since winning a majority in the House of Representatives last November, the Republicans (GOP) have set their sights on revoking environmental regulations and development of alternative energy technologies. If there was any doubt about the party's position, this document erases it.
