As if the marine ecosystem wasnt threatened enough by oil spills and excessive noise, the thinning of the ozone layer may be scarring the worlds whales from severe sunburn, experts said Wednesday.
A study of whales in the Mexican coast over the past few years, shows that the biggest mammals have blisters and other typical damage of exposure to the ultraviolet radiation. Simply put, whales are getting sunburned.

3. well i'll be back!!!
there's nothing like seeing w. yr own eyes but from the photos the pink dolphin in louisiana is "burned" whereas the pink dolphins in south america are natural -- still the ultimate is seeing for yourself for a photo can be deceptive

i have never seen a dolphin in south america, but i'm GONNA see 'em :-)
