Hydraulic Fracture Drilling Explained in detail by Cornell Professor Tony Ingraffea
Very informative if you have the time. The videos show him talking to locals in a townhall type setting in upstate NY.

1. Upstate New York is one of the most beautiful places in the
world. We don't have the drama of a sea shore, glaciers, desert buttes, etc. What we do have is mile after mile of rolling hills with fertile soil and plentiful rainfall. It will be a crime to destroy this landscape.

2. Yes it would be a crying shame.
I have family in Deposit and have to admit it is one of the nicest places I have ever been.

3. We don't have the glamour of the Gulf, but we are in as much danger
and for the same reasons: if you don't have a job, that oil money looks good.

4. No "Drama', but the view overlooking a Finger Lake is pure...
... Grace.

There is nothing better then a glass of a fine NYS wine while enjoying the view of any of the Finger Lakes on a warm summer afternoon.
Green and blue with a splash of burgundy.

(the Finger Lakes are at risk from the rape of the Marcellus Marauders too)

5. Bookmarked for later viewing. Thank you for the link.
If you haven't seen them yet, here are a few of my favorite sites on the Marcellus destruction.....err I mean exploration.

This one will keep you busy for quite some time if you start checking out all of the other links in it. It concentrates on Hickory, PA and the SW corner of PA., but also has information from other gas fields in the US.

This one shows why money is freely thrown at politicians on both sides of the aisle.

This one explains the property rights involved in exploration.

A few more good sites.
