The National Oceanic and Atomospheric Administration (NOAA) has updated the closed fishing areas in the Gulf of Mexico.

In positive news, NOAA has opened up 430 square miles of previously closed fishing area near Panama City Beach, Florida.

However, the total federal closed fishing area is now up to 78,264 square miles, or 32% of U.S. federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico.
