Residential renewable energy systems question:
Does the installation of off-grid residential renewable energy systems go into determining the assessment of your property value?

1. Yes, but only if it's an improvement
By the same token, a leaky old (first generation) solar water system should lower your value as they're a pain to remove and dispose of.

2. So if this were built as part of the new construction of the new home...
this would in turn be assessed into the property value?

3. Depends on the Location/State
Some States/Locals have programs to exempt part of the value.
