...until you realize that change begins with you.

look at all the great changes that have already been made with recycling just because one person convinced a couple other people who convinced whole cities.

and it's still moving in that direction, so that's the silver lining.

5. Your point is true
and I basically agree because of that truth, still the statement in that Calvin and Hobbes is something many people need to hear/read to shake them into something. And it speaks to the dispair I feel sometimes.

The bottom line of that comic really shouldn't be read as, we give up, human's suck, but humans need to change their ways, and a good way would be to take a lesson or two (or a million) from the rest of the living things on this planet we all share.

4. I remember that one
the fact that my son grabbed up my old Calvin and Hobbes collections and loves them gives me great pride, he knows quality. ;)
