Another '2-cars/vehicles' solution?
We have a 5 year old Dodge Caravan and '08 Prius we bought last year.
I'd like to get rid of the Caravan and be a one car family for me and Miz t.

We just completed a 1500 mile road trip in the Prius.
While it's not as roomy as the Caravan, it is entirely adequate and quite comfortable.

Since we're both retired, I think we can schedule our lives so we don't both have to be at different places at the same time.

But for running around the neighborhood, here's what I'd like:

My second car?

1. I think that's an excellent idea, Mr. Flintstone.

2. This is my second car

It's a honey for the money, has decent speed and range, and is perfectly adequate for trips to the super market, bank and post office. I have wire baskets on the back that hold 2 standard grocery bags and have managed 2 cases of soda on the footrest, probably not a good idea but my truck was in the shop that day.

9. I got mine 5 years ago
and I've had one flat, but no other problems. Batteries are still holding a full charge.

I love the thing.

Nobody's laughing at it now!

3. Classic Ride Trof
Our neighbor has a similar vehicle, he drives it around the neighborhood occasionally. But definitely not designed for highway useage. We are nearing "both retired." My plan is for the wife to always have a nice sweet economical ride. But I want to have an old beater pickemup truck for hauling crap around. Our one acre lot produces a helluvalot of brush.

As the old ESSO Lion used to say: Happy Motoring
