Severe storms, flooding continue in Midwest
Another day of stormy weather is on the way across the Midwest.

This is additional bad news for flood-ravaged Iowa and Wisconsin as river levels continue to threaten record levels and will continue to do so much of the week ahead, including areas downstream in Missouri and Illinois.

Severe storms (mainly wind and hail producers) and heavy rain are possible from eastern Kansas to southern Lower Michigan.

The greatest chance of heavy rain will be over southern Iowa, much of Missouri, and eastern Kansas as a thunderstorm complex is expected to develop later today and head southward.

Tomorrow, the chance of thunderstorms shifts into the Ohio Valley with an isolated storm or two possible in the Black Hills while the Mississippi River Valley gets a chance to dry out.

By Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms are expected in much of the Plains with a slight shift to the east into the Mississippi Valley by late in the week.
