Photos: College girls in bikinis to stop global warming

JAMES R. BURNETT/THE WORLD-HERALD

Some University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska Medical Center students risked frostbite today to raise awareness of global warming. Wearing swimsuits in the teeth of gusty winds and a temperature around 10 degrees, they stood on the pedestrian overpass near Happy Hollow Boulevard and Dodge Streets holding signs promoting Focus the Nation, a nationwide teach-in Thursday on seeking solutions to climate change. Above is UNO student Whitney Hoff, and at right are UNMC second-year medical student Brady Beecham, left, and UNO graduate student Jenn Korell.
