another inflation bite: did you notice your phone bill increased this month?
One of the many add ons to the phone bill is USF Recovery Charge.
Frontier just raised ours from 12.9 % to 15.5%.

I assume that will also show on Mr. d's cell phone bill.

How about you? did it go up? This is supposed to be a Federal charge, so I would assume it went up for for everyone?

2. Yep, mine went up about five bucks
But I heard today Obama is going to do away with the oppressive regulations that the poor phone company is forced to endure, so I'm sure they will immediately retract the increase and issue a rebate for the bill I already paid.

3. It seems like my phone bill goes up every month by 2 or 3 cents. I never
get charged the same amount every month. Its so small that you don't even pay attention to it.

4. I watched that happening last year!
I had negotiated a rate with phone company for our internet/land line
( we are out here in the boonies and have ONE company option)
and every month the bill went up by 2 cents on this column,3 cents on that column
of "other charges" until by the end of 12 months I was paying 10.00 a month more.

guess they do not think that people track these things.

7. Exactly. You call them up about the charges and they explain in
ways that you can't understand. Frustrating!

6. No, I no longer have a landline though. I have a cell phone through Verizon using Straight Talk.
1000 minutes and 1000 texts a month for $30. It works for me.

9. Honestly,
My internet provider told me that the extra $10 monthly charge, above the agreed upon charges, was because I did not purchase any other services from them.....

12. It seems like all of my utility bills increase a bit fairly regularly
Phone, electric, definitely cable. I signed on for a specific monthly cost, and it's at least another $10 more in 'taxes and fees.' I've been unemployed for two years so this is getting even more difficult. Finding a cheaper plan that is at all useful seems impossible. I haven't been able to as yet.

13. I switched to magicjack last year and paid $69 for 5 years advance
My DSL is $37 including taxes so roughly my home phone and internet cost me $38 a month total. Pre-paid cell about $10 a month with minutes to spare.
