I thought this quote was worth sharing from the lessig blog:

And if conventional wins elections, then more power to the Senator, for I am a strong believer in one term Bush presidencies. But a movement to fight “special interests” of the right, in favor of 'special interests' of the left, is not a movement to fight 'special interests.'"

Personally, I do not know enough about this subject to agree or disagree. I will say that I believe that pretty much all politicians left, right and center do not know or care enough about intellectual property laws and that they say a lot of dumb things when they talk about it.
