Less Likely to Buy American because of Bush Administration
Just heard a report on (BBC) The World:

http://www.theworld.org/

There was a survey done of various countries and in some countries, like France, up to 2/3 of the people said they were less willing to buy American and it was specifically because of the bush administration. They had also been asked if it was because of corporate malfeasance or distrust of corporations and the answer was no--it was specifically because of the bush administration.

Wish I could add more to this but I just caught it while I was holding on the phone. I checked the Web site and the story isn't there yet but perhaps it will be updated later. If anyone else hears this report and can add to the above, I think it could be useful piece of information for us.

1. We have one more chance...
George Soros underscored a key point related to international opinion of the USA. International opinion still largely supports America and Americans, but they're opposed to and distrustful of the Bush Administration.

From a speech delivered Jan. 12, 2004 by George Soros at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. The event served as the official release of his book, "The Bubble of American Supremacy."

If we reelect Bush in 2004 we endorse the Bush doctrine and we will have to live with the consequences. We shall be regarded with widespread hostility and terrorists will be able to count on many sympathizers around the world. We are liable to be trapped in a vicious circle of violence, ... 2004 is not an ordinary election; it is a referendum on the Bush doctrine. The future of the world hangs in the balance.

Anyone who's been to Europe lately will tell you the same thing.

4. Listen to the report here
Here's the segment I heard yesterday. The research firm is Edelman.

Scroll down to "Image interview;" it's a five-minute report.

Later I will listen again and take notes and post the highlights.
