The people crying 'wolf' (I hate that phrase) should write for "Scare Tactics" with

their talent for hyperbole.

The bailout that the rethugs and some Dems saved us from is not for me (cannot speak for thee).

I do know that my repuke cousin who has made millions in the sub-prime scam arena has already raped and folded three companies and is now running his fourth racket. He needs the bailout to be able to continue his schemes.

If there has to be an "adjustment" from the government (us!), we should get total ownership of the corps. No just taking the "bad paper" off their books and leaving the valuable assets in corporate pockets.

If there have to be layoffs, let them start at the top and work down the food chain.

If there have to be hardships (of this I am sure due to the total fuck-up the Bushistas have made of America), they have to come down heaviest on the rich and the criminals who created this mess.

As many have pointed out, this is an opportunity for real, progressive action if only "our" reps in Congress would dare. I naively hope that they will not blow this chance as they did with other opportunities that have presented themselves over the last couple of years (remember stopping the war after the '06 elections?).

At the least, they should take time and thoughtfully consider the action they are going to foce us to take. We do not need another IWR or 'patriot' Act.

p.s. Tried to send a message to my DLC-representative, indicating my 'disappointment' in her vote for the bailout. Their server is down, so she will not get that message. At the same time, i found an email from her justifying the sell-out. I guess we are supposed to just accept what our betters tell us the truth is.
