what to do about securities that are in securities side of
failing bank?
I know they are not FDIC insured. However, if the bank goes into receivership, what happens to the securities side of the bank? I have no idea. Thanks in advance for any responses.

1. Are you talking about stocks issued by the failing bank, OR
stocks you hold through the bank on OTHER corporations? Stocks you hold on other corporations are your stocks. They do not loose value because the bank holding them for you goes bust.

3. What do you mean "the securities side" of the bank?
Do you mean your bank has an office inside where there is a financial advisor that sells mutual funds, etc.?

What types of securities?
