Oracle delivers takeover information to DOJ

Oracle Corp. has provided U.S. antitrust regulators with all of the documents they requested to complete their review of its hostile $7.3 billion takeover bid for PeopleSoft Inc., clearing the way for a ruling on whether the acquisition would be anticompetitive.

Oracle Corp. sent out its holiday greetings to PeopleSoft Inc. Friday in the form of a statement reaffirming its commitment to its hostile takeover bid. Oracle for the fifth time extended the deadline on its tender offer to PeopleSoft's shareholders.
