what was really said at bush press conference
Heres a quick run down on Bush's press conference today with the real meaning minus the rhetoric and soft questions.

Bush basically said that he" takes responsibility for what he says." with the exception of the uranim lie he told because he didnt refer to that, even though the media will make it seem like he did.
He then basically promised permanent war despite the daily death toll in Iraq. Last but not least he said he'll protect whats in the 28 pages of the 9/11 report because he has alot to hide and its in the name of" security"
So long have a nice day reporters, and dont bother me to talk again until another four months. Rhetoric followed by more rhetoric and cute nicknames for friendly reporters followed by goodbye.

But you missed a salient newsbyte: Bush* twice said today that he was "too old" to answer complex quesions. Hmmm? That, methinks, is a telling nugget to fall from the psyche of our unelected but resolutely bellicose president*

Liberate the truth.

8. I agree with you
That "I'm responsible for every word that comes out of my mouth" statement is going to haunt him.

Speck in yer neighbor's eye, log in yours. our nation is blessed. some other godly stuff I've blocked out, too.

On edit: oh, yeah, the 'sanctity' of marriage between a man n' a woman.

I wonder if he meant to blurt out that anti-gay marriage stuff or if it t'were an accident?

7. Another Bushism
Did anyone hear him say conscience instead of conscious? Something like "I'm conscience of the concerns of the families of the third ID..." Of course, that's just a nitpicky l'il ole thang - I like my Presidents to use the English language correctly and clearly. :dunce:

You summed up the general context nicely. If you take away the extraneous Hallmark card platitude bullshit, he said just what you described. He could have done it in thity seconds or less.

:boring:

Hey, lets work on figuring out how to win some elections. Right now we have nothing... and we've been playing Clinton/Bush tit for tat for almost 4 years now.

Telling them how lucky they are to get to go to freaking Crawford Hellhole Texas at the beginning of August, knowing they hate it. What a pissant he is.

Oh yeah, and his comments about the deficit: "we were going to have one anyway" or something like that. WTF? So let's make it worse?
