Gingrich blames Democrats for rising tide of threats, violence
1:08 pm March 25, 2010, by Jay Bookman

... “I think there’s something very disingenuous with the Democrat leaders who attack the Tea Party movement, who refuse to hold town hall meetings, who refuse to go back home, who kept the Congress locked up in Washington, and are now shocked that people are angry,” Gingrich said. “I think the Democratic leadership has to take some real responsibility (for choosing) to use corrupt tactics that bought votes, that bullied people and as a result has enraged much of the American people. And I think it would be nice for President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid to take SOME responsibility for what THEIR actions have done to this country.”

That seems to be the new theme. Over at Redstate, CNN contributor and blogger Erick Erickson also spoke out against the vandalism and threatening messages.

“The threats, potential acts of violence, and violence against those who voted for the health care legislation must be condemned,” he writes. “They are neither helpful to those seeking repeal nor the acts of a civilized society.”

But that wasn’t his real message, not in a piece that he chose to headline “If King George Will Not Listen . . .”

3. Waaaaaah!
They made me do it. How completely lame. He can't shrug off his responsibility while simultaneously putting forth the lie that the democrats in congress are using corrupt tactics or parliamentary tricks.

And what have their actions done for the country that he is complaining about? Providing health care to millions unable to afford it under the old system? Outlawing being denied care because of pre-existing conditions? Extending coverage to kids up to age 26? O yeah, we're giving health care to the poor, the sick and the young, who most often went without how freaking awful is that? That sure is something to get all upset about and start frothing at the mouth, organizing vandalism sprees and death threats.

What a loon.

5. Hold TOWN HALL meetings what did they try to do all summer
when the republicans bused in distrupters who wouldn't let a person hear what was going on much less ask a question.

And when does holding a meeting in congress to vote on a bill give anybody the right to try to kill people, threaten them and their children. I think somebody ought to ask Newtie the Tootie about him and his treatment of his dying wife.

6. Pot calling the kettle black

have deep concerns that some, DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen and DNC Chairman Tim Kaine in particular, are dangerously fanning the flames by suggesting that these incidents be used as a political weapon,” Cantor said.

7. typical ReThugs
oh my aren't they clever in their ways of twisting reality. It's so sad that so many believe them, given that we live in this "7-second attention span" level of discourse.
