msnbc's new "lean forward" motto
I've got a problem with msnbc's new "lean forward" motto. The "forward" meme was started by none other than president Obama, one reason I don't support him wholeheartedly. I cringe whenever I hear this meme in media or Obama himself because it means trying to excuse America's war crimes under gw bush, and to be honest under obama himself as he continues the damn wars.

As reference when questioned about holding gw bush accountable for war crimes, here is the forward meme as originated by Obama and much copied by a center/right Village.

President-Elect Barack Obama has sent a pretty clear signal that Bush administration officials are in the clear, saying on ABC's Meet the Press;

I don't believe that anybody is above the law. On the other hand I also have a belief that we need to look forward as opposed to looking backwards.

Let's move forward with justice for past evil, if not America "moves forward" with tainted souls.

3. I'm not sure what they are saying with this campaign...
I'd like to think it means: "Whatever you do, don't vote for those throwback Republicans!"

4. Well...
On president Obama's worst day he is a million times better than any of those morons in congress who call themselves republicans! Ten million times better than George W. Bush, and as for the teabaggers, well they are so far out of tough with reality I don't even consider their insane views!

7. I recently realized why I hate the "move forward" meme.
it is exactly what every abusive person in the world says. "Yeah, okay, maybe I did give you a black eye, but let's move forward. You focus so much on the past. Why focus on what is done? What is done is done."

All those style comments are hallmarks of an abuser. And the sweet little old guy you've been living with for so long - he's just so good looking and a charmer. Of course, his friends are allowed to make digs at you - "retard" etc.

But don't forget the CHARM! Even your mama likes him...

8. You wanna know why so many of us cringe at this -
And it is not only that Obama used this meme to let him help sweep the past deeds of Mr Bush and others under the carpet -

This meme "going forward, leaning forward" <whatever> is a meme used by abusers.

Anyone who has had experience with abuse knows that the abuser(s) will NOT EVER let the abuse be brought up. As that is so backwards - Instead, the abuser and those who support them say things like: "What the HELL IS WRONG with you for dwelling on the past. And what you are talking about NEVER HAPPENED. No one in our family DRANK! No one in our family verbally threatened or insulted anyone. How dare you bring up THE DISTANT PAST, when every single other person in this Family understands that NOTHING BAD happened in the past."
