I can't believe you just ran an EIGHT MINUTE commercial break. Saturday, 9/23 from approx 10:22 to 10:30. AFTER running a tease "is floodwater still pouring into Lake Charles?"

How utterly crass. I frankly don't expect much from GMA or any of the shows like it. You've all sucked for quite a long time. But you manage to hit a new low with crap like this.

Do you think you could avoid fucking with people's heads when reporting on ongoing crises? Save that manipulative garbage for your usual menu of "news" -- the gossip, the fashion, and the endless recipes for cooking a piece of chicken. When attempting to report on a crisis, see if you can do something resembling journalism for a change.

2. I agree. They're so bad, in so many ways, that it would take...
... half the day to describe.

But I half-hoped that they could still rise to the occasion now and then, and do some actual journalism on a story like this, just for a couple of hours.

Give me a "D" for "Duh." What was I thinking? :dunce:

It's a good idea. If you see someone out there one of these days holding a sign that says "R.I.P., Journalism" that'll be me!

(At least until the security detail carts me away.) :D
