Would you like AAR to be broadcast in Washington, DC?
I would, so that reporters who cover the White House and Congress could easily listen.

If you feel the same way, please eamil them asking them to try to buy a Washington, DC station as soon as they can, using the form at:

1. How about the bay area?
I know if they get a good station, they could be heard all the way to the central vallley.

3. Any Advice for Syracuse (Central) New York State?
We're inunudated by Clear Channels, as far as I can tell. I usually listen to NPR because otherwise it seems to be all rightwingers all the time.

Any tips on how to convince local (?) affiliates to carry AAR?

Thanks!

4. Maybe you could write a talk-radio station which plays at
least one liberal and recommend they add "The Al Franken Show."

5. What "local stations" are there?
From what I can tell, nearly all of them are owned by Clear Channel.

Perhaps someone can find a small community-run radio station in Washington and make it an AAR affiliate. It won't be a "good" station - those are all owned by Voldemort and Associates - but if it's heard at all, that's a victory.

Since FM became everyone's favorite listening format, there are a lot of AM's around. (Disney used to own one simply to broadcast to people coming down I-75, running a half-hour radio infomercial. The only non-commercial programming they ran was a weather forecast on the half-hour.) Anyone care to check a copy of "Broadcasting and Cable" to see if there's an AM up for sale?
